Science Domain International: an Open Peer Reviewed Journal

Science Domain International is a new and promising publisher of STM journals from India. The transparent and robust “Open Peer Review” model of SDI journals is very appreciable and significant for the academic community. They publish the entire Review History along with the manuscripts after completion of review process depending on the expert reviewers’ suggestions and recommendations. In 2013 an article published in famous Science journal (http://www.sciencemag.org/content/342/6154/60.full), which reported that out of total 304 journals, only 20 journals rejected a fake article after substantial peer review. Science Domain International journal was among these few successful journals. It also provides wide indexing coverage and provides public proof for every claim of indexing. It also renders the service of perpetual archiving with Portico, DOI for every article, plagiarism checking for each submission, etc. Their remarkable contributions are recognized by many academic organizations as mentioned below:

I saw a question asked on Twitter earlier about what had happened to the 'Material keynote parameter' in Revit 2013. It seems like the Autodesk team were testing us out a bit here in the 2013 version, as the parameter, along with other material information is well hidden away. I've heard quite a few negative remarks about the Materials editor in general. I personally prefered the 2012 setup,.but expect further changes with the release of Revit 2014 next year.

A new website promoting BIM was launched today, Friday 07th December.

The site allows organisations, project teams and professionals to share their BIM learning and experiences in a common location, inspiring further uptake. It's capped at one million places and called 'The B1M' (which stands for the BIM one million).

The kratom.org (kratom.org) was formed in 2014. kratom.org is an organization that works to educate the public about kratom, protect consumer rights, and ensure that vendors are playing by the rules. They are also a group of people who are dedicated to clearing up misleading information about kratom.

I recently came across a nice feature that Autodesk are providing for their users. It is now possible to have an interactive 3D viewer embedded in your site as shown below. Autodesk Design Review - QuickShare gives you the oppurtunity to upload your .DWF files and store them in the cloud to be viewed as a 3D interactive model. Unfortunately it is not yet possible to upload standard .RVT files, but it is of course possible to export your Revit models as a .DWF file.
