The game features multiple backgrounds that, along with the segments of the circle, are procedurally generated meshes. This allowed the colours to be changed constantly but keeping batching intact to maintain efficiency. It also benefited in allowing the segments to be sized perfectly. Another result of this is that each segment is actually multiple parts that can be accurately resized, along with the glow that shows when they are filling up.

The background patterns change with each difficulty level, either shape and colour or just colour. They are governed by functions, allowing them to be changed easily.

A comic page sample featuring Diabolik. Due to the title being of Italian origin, as usually happens with European comics in most cases, I drew the text balloons and the sound effects as part of the artwork. In this scene, Diabolik is once again confronted by his rival, Inspector Ginko to whom, he responds by swiftly throwing one of his daggers (most likely to distract him rather than kill him due to his moral compass).

Diabolik, whose real name is unknown, is a professional thief who preys on other criminals. As a child, he grew up on an island run and lived on by a criminal syndicate who raised and taught him their trade. He eventually rebelled and took down the syndicate. After that, he met his wife/partner in crime, Eva Kant.
Diabolik (Italian: [djaˈbɔːlik, djaboˈlik]) is an Italian comic series created by sisters Angela and Luciana Giussani. Diabolik was created in 1962 and consists of more than 900 volumes by the Astorina publishing house. It is one of the most popular series in the history of Italian comics, leading to the birth of the Fumetti Neri comic subgenre.
The "Fumetti neri" name comes from "cronaca nera", the Italian name for crime news. Among the inspirations of the genre were the film noir, the French feuilleton, and Italian horror films. In a local market dominated by comics devoted to a young audience, the immediate commercial success of Diabolik revealed a niche of adult readers interested in adult and sometimes exploitive themes, characterized by violence and sex references.
